The current incarnation of Knightdale, North Carolina's Grody Jones was founded during the winter of 2012, by drummer Chris Hernandez, vocalist Justin Shank and guitarist/vocalist Chris Fredricks (Kuttphatt, Shwa.) Unique in it's instrumentation, Grody Jones has cultivated a sound in the metal genre that is a demon juggernaut alternating doses of smack and crank. Dropping chops heavier than most full-on five piece bands, this unorthodox three piece blends thrash with doom, power with southern and hardcore with post in a manner that leaves listeners feeling that they have dawned on their own demise. Often expressed as, "Dude, that was heavy as fuck!"

As this first chapter of the band unfolds, with Grody Jones in the studio recording their first full length album, the band is anxious to begin booking  shows in their region of the country.
